Trouble installing C++ SDK 5.14 and uninstalling C++ SDK 5.9

Hello,

I have repeatedly this error when installing the latest SDK 5.14:

I tried uninstalling the previous SDK 5.9 through both its wizard (options Repair and Uninstall) and the Control Panel, but it’s not possible neither, I always get the same message.

I believe this somehow made an error in my VS project as it no longer compiles for v5.

Do you have an idea/fix for this?

Rhino 5 SDK installation problem on Windows 10

@dale Did you try to install a new Rhino 5 C/C++ SDK on the latest Windows 10? I think that others, e.g., @foreigner could also confirm that Rhino 5 C/C++ SDK installation does not work on Windows 10. It seems that Rhino 5 SDK installation tries to change Windows 10 register with an error (We run the installation as administrator). The following is the error message. [RhinoError]

Unfortunately it does not work yet for me with SR13… There’s the same ‘Ended prematurely’ message. Here I attach the resulting log file:

Hi @dale ,

I upgraded from Windows 10.1809 to Windows 10.1903. I tried uninstalling SDK 5.9 in Safe Mode, but it didn’t work.

What’s the manual procedure to uninstall (folders, registry path, temporary configs…)?
