This is as close as you can get currently:

Well, personally I would just make a copy of the V8 settings folder in the original install and with Rhino closed on the machine to be copied to, delete the existing settings folder and replace it with the copy. Then start Rhino. You should have most of your settings.
I do thank you very much indeed.
As far as I understand, all transferable stuff is located i the given - settings folder.
Hello everyone,
I read this article and almost everything worked well. But I didn’t understand how to import the .rui
file in Rhino 8. They said it’s possible through the two procedures mentioned, but Rhino 8 doesn’t seem to have the “UI” folder. I also couldn’t find any option to import the .rui
file inside Rhino 8.
from the article:
It is possible to import an .rui file from a previous version of Rhino via the above procedure; note however that many things change from one version to another, so this may not always be 100% successful. Some command macros may have changed.
Correct, because the default.rui
file no longer exists in V8, so they saw no need to make a folder. You can make the UI
folder yourself - actually you can call it anything you want, UI
was just the V7 name. You just need to have the .rui stored somewhere where you can find it.
Ah, I see. I’ll try that. So will Rhino 8 import this file automatically?
No, you need to open the .rui file via the toolbar section.
