Torus Make2D issue

Sorry if this has already been reported somewhere, but it’s an issue I’ve experienced since Rh5, and I thought maybe I should post it.

Make a torus where the circle profile is on the XZ Plane, and then Make2D in the front viewport:

Anything that can be done about it? I’m on Version 8 SR3 (8.3.24009.15001, 2024-01-09).

Also, while I don’t mind running a SimplifyCrv each time, I do wonder why it’s required?
