Topography modeling from curves/points, including roads and paths

Hey everyone,

I have been struggling already for some time, in my job I am often modeling topography for architecture visualisation purposes, so often the height curves are not accurate enough (or even simply not exist because it’s a designed situation). What I wanted to ask is how you handle these kinds of situations? Usually what I have in hand is the outline of roads/paths and the height curves and sometimes cutting splitting the surface is enough, but sometimes when the descent is quite steep, then the path should be rather flat and here is where most of my headaches begin.

Do you have any workflows which you could share?
