Tif import for vegetation data

Dear rhino community,

I am trying to import a TIF file, raster file that contains the land cover (including the vegetation data). I am interested in obtaining the vegetation data on rhinos. I saw the conversation: How to Import Georeferenced file (tif) into original position and scale? but it doesn’t give me the info that I need rather than some small elevetion changes.
Maybe it is also just a matter of color contrasts of the tif file and differentiating between them in Rhino. Does anyone have any lead?

Are you talking about a geoTif? Try Bisons “Import Mesh DEM”

Hi Kristiana -

That sounds like an issue with the data source, rather than with the way that you’ve imported that data.

This is the result of a quick test importing a GeoTIFF with the Heron plug-in that was mentioned in the thread that you reference.

You’d have to provide (a link to) your source, and possibly your Grasshopper file to see what’s going on…
