It works and you can save RUI in R9 as a temp solution, and then use it in R8. It will also open in R7, but not with pictures unless you add 32px icons. Make sure to COPY AND RENAME the RUI before open it in earlier Rhino version, or it will ruin your R8/R9 RUI.
