The direction of the resulting surface

The resulting surface may have an incorrect direction (for example, inside, but it needs to be inside), the direction depends on how I choose the curves or edges (the selection sequence). How to choose, so that the final surface has the right direction?

It also depends on the direction of the curves the surface is being made from - and perhaps some other factors. So the short answer is - you can’t always predict which way the normal side will fall. Best is to make a display mode that shows backfaces as a different color, then when you see some surfaces are reversed from what you would like, select their original generating curves and call Flip - if you want history to transfer, or just flip the surface(s) - history will be broken.
