Setting default surface direction

I habitually select cuves right to left and top to bottom or clockwise when making surfaces. Doing so almost always produces surfaces that must be flipped. Is there a setting that could be changed to do the opposite? Perhpap the curves themselves would be generated in the opposite direction as the default?

Sorry, no. The surface directions are biased based on how you pick and click. YOu have the control to generate what you want.
Consider making a custom display mode that uses specific colors for the U and V surface isocurves so you have visual feedback without having to run a command to check.

I already have that set up. so I can see right away the surface requires flipping. I read a bit here that I though was relevent.
