Text not displaying correctly

I’m having an issue with text displaying incorrectly. The issue occurs with multiple fonts. I have already tried reinstalling specific fonts, which worked temporarily but then stopped. See screenshot below.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Hi TIm - how is the text being entered? Copy/Paste?

-Pascal

No, text was entered directly.

Thanks!

-Tim

Hm. Can you post a file that shows the problem? The simpler the better…

thanks,

-Pascal

Pascal,

Please see attached.

Hi Tim - it looks correct here on both Mac (Same build as yours) and Windows Rhino. On your screen, characters are dropping out, is that correct?

-Pascal

Interesting… Yes the characters are dropping out, here’s a screenshot:

Hi Tim - OK, thanks… I really have no idea what could cause this. I’ll have to check with some bigger brains.

-Pascal

Ok, thanks. I suspect that it might be a memory issue or something. After closing out of other applications and reopening the text displayed correctly. It seems to be an intermittent problem.

Anyone have any ideas how to resolve an issue like this? Still having this issue with the characters dropping out of text objects and dimensions. It appears to happen with multiple fonts on different files on a few of the machines in our office. Any help would be much appreciated, as this has become a pretty big nuisance.

Just to be very safe, you may want to check your fonts for problems.

Can you please provide some additional information? Please navigate to Rhinoceros > About Rhinoceros > More info… > Copy to clipboard and paste the content back into a reply here.

Thanks, Dan. Checked out the fonts, no issues there.

Thanks Tim. Unfortunately, I don’t see any red-flags in your system information. Is this happening with all files on that computer? Does the same thing happen on different computers with that file?

Seems I am having this same issue. Are there been any solutions?

Unfortunately not. We have not been able to reproduce the issue on our machines, so it is very difficult to know where to begin.

If you can provide 3dm files the exhibit this behavior, your System information (Rhinoceros > About Rhinoceros > More info… > Copy to clipboard), as well as detailed steps to reproduce the issue, we might have a fighting chance.
