Surfacing on point cloud raw data

Hello,

I’ll like to know i it is possible to raw draw on point cloud data after 3D scanning of the product for reverse engineering and surfacing as it is done in Catia ICEM Surf. Because I have been trying to do so but the curves end-up at some where else.

Hello - in Rhino you cannot draw directly on a point cloud, no, you’ll need a mesh.

Thanks Pascal. I was looking for plugins but couldn’t find any.

Hi - you could try the MeshPatch or MeshFromPoints tools or look for solutions in Grasshopper. Typically, though, you would turn to applications like CloudCompare or MeshLab.
