Remesh By Color could also be used, but as Triremesh they deliver “nice” triangles.
If you want less nice triangles, use Populate then apply a gradient like described here and in others link

Gradient Point Clouds

Hello All, I want to construct a gradient point cloud, where in, the density of the point cloud is a function of some type of input: topography, distance along a line, etc. Any ideas?

Then some work to suppress triangles not on the shape.
