Definitely a proper concern. I thought your telemetry scheme was designed to let you know what commands/features people are using.
Nevertheless, a pretty effective way of gauging the answer to the question would be to change it and see if the squawking changes. Shouldn’t take very long. Kind of brute force, I admit, but in the absence of any better info probably would get you the info you need. And if a lot of people are affected you can just change it back can’t you? In the meantime you’ll make a different group of users happy for a while.
Well the development testing has always been that way. Now maybe it’s time to open source the features nobody likes so the users can do the programming for free too.
