How can one pull out a SubD toolbar that got “stuck” in the right container? I cannot pick its title bar and drag it out, or otherwise maximise it in order to re-position or delete it.

Open the Containers menu and select Manage Containers:
In the Containers panel, find the Right Container and drop down the content. Do what you will with what you find (at your own peril!):

Thanks, it was not in the drop-down, but on a hierarchy level like the others. I deleted it.
