Strange display issue

Help.
I am constantly bumping up against a weird display issue.
It’s as if my camera is not at 90 degrees to some of my objects when I’m left hand and right hand view.

The problem is more prevalent when I have a clipping plane on.

It’s obvious to see when looking down a pipe in a 2 d view.

I might have fiddled with lens size and 2D perspective.

Please see attached

looks like a “render mesh setting” - issue.
Assign a custom render mesh in the properties and check if this solves the issue.
Check this forum for / search render mesh - there is already a lot about those artefacts.

and - always check if this problem is solved by a complete restart of operating system & rhino…
hope this helps - kind regards -tom

Hi @Tom_P Thank you for that.
I tried clearing all meshes and reassigning a new texture. Not sure if that’s what you meant by assigning a custom render mesh, it didn’t clear up the problem?
I have changed my default settings@ tools - options - from Jagged and Faster to Smooth and Slower
That seemed to work, how much it will slow down my system though remains to be seen. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Hi Sean -

How much it will slow down your system depends on both the hardware you are running and the number of objects in your Rhino file.
You might want to upload your 3dm file and post the output of the Rhino SystemInfo command.
