Stonework in Rhino... Is it possible?

Hello!

For a while I’ve been thinking about architecture models depicting rough stonework for a project I’m working on in an Indian context, but I’m not sure a good way to represent this that wouldn’t be super time consuming. Has anyone had any experience with:

  1. Modeling stonework - and are there certain techniques that are useful
  2. 3D Scanning stonework
  3. Other techniques for designing and representing stonework that are relatively efficient but still convey the effect

Curious to hear people’s thoughts on this. I’ll attach some images I’ve taken on various site visits below to show some of the effects I’ve been seeing and would be interested to represent.

Thanks!
Paul

Hello- most likely, I would say, youd use a combination of minimal-as-possible modelling and some serious textures for bump and displacement at render time.
