I have no idea if this is the kind of place I could post a question like this. However, I need to model a physical stippled texture on the surface of my model. Stippled

If anyone has any ideas i’m all ears.

Hi Chris - do you need the texture in a surface model or is it OK if the result is a mesh?

Hi Pascal,
The final model will be exported as a mesh stl file.
I’m happy to work in either mesh or surface.
I would normally work in surfaces and then convert to mesh at the end.

Hi Pascal, I’m building this as a nurbs model but will export to mesh when completed. Did you have any comments on how I could model the stippled texture?

Hi Chris - using displacement mapping - ApplyDisplacement - and an image file or procedural texture to make the displacement. Then, ExtractRenderMesh will get the displaced mesh and you can export that.
