"Sticky" C-Plane or User Error?

I have hotkeys mapped to change my view (and then assigned to a macropad.) I can cycle through the keys and they work just fine; but whenever I switch to Front view and back to Perspective, the C-Plane stays “stuck” in the Front view. I can unstick it by switching back to Top view, then to Perspective; or using 4View (x2). Obviously want the C-Plane oriented correctly in side and front views; but I’d prefer if it just reverted its previous orientation in perspective (usually top), otherwise I don’t always notice that it’s moved and hijinks ensue.

Is this the way it is meant to work? Or is it a bug? Or something to do with my syntax?

+SHIFT+F1 = _SetView _Top

+SHIFT+F2 = _SetView _Front

+SHIFT+F3 = _SetView _Right

+SHIFT+F4 = _SetView _Perspective

Hi TJ -

Disabling the Rhino Settings -> View -> Named views set CPlane option will cause the behavior you are describing here.
