Squish produces completely different output in Script Compiler

Hi Guys,

This one has been driving me CRAZY for the last 24hrs.

I’ve created some grasshopper code to use Squisher to flatten some double curved surfaces.

Everything works GREAT when run in the GH source code:

Im actually very excited about the feature I’m developing and this result is way better than I was hoping for.

However the “wheels fall off” when I run the code thru the Rhino Script Compiler and install the YAK file:

These shapes are not even close the the required output, and even more strange is no matter the input parameters into Squisher I cannot even replicate these shapes in the source code.

The result is the same in R7 and R8 (Windows - not tired MacOS yet)

I started out using this GH plugin for access to the Squisher functions in the API:

But have now written my own Python replacement (which is slightly faster).

However BOTH show this really really strange error.

Any ideas of what to look for?

I cannot publish my source for this in public because this is commercially a BIG step up for KaroroCAD when I get it running.

Is there maybe a developer I could give code examples too directly? Maybe the owner of the Squisher code?

So, just ran the code thru the grasshopper player in R8 and got a different (even worse!) result:

Total WTF moment going on here…

DO NOT PANIC!

Ok, I found the issue, it was a Interpolate Curve component I had in the code after the Squish - where I was “cleaning up” the outline curves.

I found it by internalizing the geometry going into the Squisher code then copying component by component into a new GH - and the problem with the Interpolate Curve component came up.

Still VERY strange it was not showing up in my source code but happy to have found it. I’ve changed to another way of cleaning up my curves.
