I’m looking to take a full size contour plate and split/panelize using GH, and then bring the geometry back to Tekla. While there is a cut tool, this causes issues since I want to keep geometry on both sides of the cut. Is there a GH component that can mimic the “split” Tekla tool?
I know the search tools are not broken so I guess your and @osuire just don’t know how to use them.
No i’ve tried this, and from what I’ve seen it does not mimic the “split” tool in Tekla. I know there is not a split tool in the Tekla GH plugin, but I’m hoping there is a C# script option.
…
Do you use Tekla Joseph?
I believe I addressed this issue in one of your earlier threads. Sorry you missed it.
These achieve the desired result operating on breps in Rhino, but not when trying to modify geometry/model objects (contour plate) within the Tekla model.
@sebastian.lindholm do you know of any solutions to create a “split” component for contour plates?
Hi Forrest,
There’s a thread here about splitting a beam:
I’m sure some of the proposals could be adapted to work for plates as well. You would just work with the deconstructed boundary of the plate instead of the beam centerline.
