Good day,
I am new to Rhino and wanted to use the software to split a blend.
I have watched some tutorials and I know what I have to do, but my result is not possible.
First of all, I put in a surface by which I want to cut:

Then I choose the split command and would have to select my large panel and then my cross surface, but this is not possible.
The other way round it works if I first select the cross surface and then the panel, but then I get this result:
i don’t understand why it doesn’t work the other way round 
May anyone can help me

You could try to make the cutting plane bigger, especially from the right side.
Also in the second screenshot, it seems that there are edges on the large panel from the splitting…? Maybe it is cut partially or it’s grouped?

i thnik the problem is, that its a block instance?
i cant choose it with the split command.
That is definitely the problem. You need to break the block by exploding it or edit the block, and split it in the edit mode.

oh thank you very much i always did one split too few 
was probably a block in a block
