Speckle 1.0.0

Speckle is an open source design/AEC data exchange platform currently integrated with Grasshopper and Rhino. It helps designers share geometry and information easily and in real time among their team, and keep full ownership of their data. You can test out the plugins straight away!

Recently, the Speckle Server & API have reached the 1.0 milestone. Now you can dive in more deeply in deploying your server, managing your streams online, etc.

If you want to be part of the Speckle community, share thoughts or cries for help, you can visit the forum or the Speckle Slack channel. Code contributions are more than welcome - all the code is released on GitHub under the MIT license.

This project started out of the InnoChain research network (of which McNeel is an industry partner) and received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under the Marie Sklodowska-Curie grant agreement No 642877.

Hi there @bobmcneel

I’m wondering if anyone, maybe you, has written down the different aims and strengths/limitations of Rhino.Inside.Revit & speckle. I would love to add links to this sort of information to the osarch.org wiki which is something of a launching pad for people looking at opensource in AEC & interoperability.

( I’m also curious about McNeel’s approach to FOSS, who could I talk to about that, maybe do an interview … ? )
