Hello All,
Speckle Streams is ready for a little pre-test-run. You’re probably wondering what it does (or tries to). Well, speckle is a design data communication platform. It allows you to send and collate data from grasshopper to either another grasshopper instance or an online viewer.
Some key points:
-
Real time data broadcasting: any change in the geometry/data is broadcast instantly to all receivers, web-based or grasshopper based. This enables a multi-user grasshopper workflow.
-
Flexible structure: you can add as many layers (inputs) as you need to one data stream. Moreover, structure is maintained: trees in, trees out.
-
Versioning: save specific points in time of your data stream for easy online retrieval.
-
Online Remote Control: Have your Gh defintion act as a geometry/data server.
What else? Well, have a read here!. Give it a try, and I’ll try and be responsive. Where can it go? Quite far. It probably can even be used to link up a full custom production line, from online-customisation to automated 3d printing.
Here’s a live example too of Ye Olde Twisty Tower. I’m still at work for another half hour and I’ll leave the grasshopper definition on, which means you can drag some sliders around too
Eager to hear you out!
