Spacemouse Unresponsive in Rhino 8

Hi all,

I’ve recently installed Rhino 8 (evaluation) and have found that the my spacemouse ‘handle’ is unresponsive.

The buttons work, but not the knob. Anyone have any tips?

Thank you!

Brian

Did you plug in your spacemouse before starting Rhino? Does it function correctly in a previous version of Rhino?
Pls run _SystemInfo in Rhino and post back the results.

Yes, it works perfectly in Rhino 7, Yes, I plugged it it before starting Rhino 8. The buttons work fine, only the handle doesn’t.

where is that menu?

I have a button on the spacemouse that opens it, not sure how else to access it

I see, the menu key on the spacemouse. Nope all boxes are checked

Just to be sure, you did not install any spacemouse software or drivers? The spacemouse should work in Rhino right away.

Other than that, I would try to run a Rhino repair (not reinstall) to see if that solves it.

One other thing: did you restart your pc in the meantime? Sometimes odd problems solve by a restart.

I have issues with the spacemouse not waking when Rhino is started. Mouse is fine. I have to unplug and plug in to wake it up. This ONLY happens with Rhino.

Hi Dale,

Is your 3DConnexion SpaceMouse driver up to date? Current release for Windows is 10.8.16.
