Hello again, I tried to cut the joint nodes, but it’s not working properly. Some bodies aren’t cut. I tried splitting the list and cutting with other Boolean tools, but it doesn’t work. Can anyone help me?
Thank you for try help-me, but I want the cut to be aligned with the panels, like the image. If you know of another approach I could use, that would be very helpful. I need to do this for a college project.
Is this correct? Your data trees and cutter tree is the problem based on my quick look.

I think his approach is something different . btw I looked up your file and it seems the tree data that you used shift path on , hasn’t have sub branches so in these cases only using simplify would do . As I can see it seems you wanted to approach some flatten operation .
Ok, I see the problem now that it was solved.
Out of interest I was trying to solve the node problem using a different method. I am not sure all your nodes are exactly aligned correctly. I think you should be able to draw a line from the exact center of the dome to all of your node points. Your nodes should intersect that line at the exact center point and I am not sure they do.
Thank you so much, you saved my day! ![]()
Your welcome , it would be good if you tap Solution so others can find the answer quickly
Oh, yes! Sorry for the delay. I’m still having trouble with the “alignment (beams vs. vertices)” issue, but I’ll open another thread. Thanks again!
