In the rendering panel I like to collapse some of the sections that I don’t frequently need to accsess. The last section “Rhino Render Advanced Settings” is the only section that doesn’t stay collapsed. Every time you switch to another tab in the panel, this section will be expanded again when you come back to the rendering tab.
In menu bar of the render window under “View” the options “Toolbar”, “Effects Panel” and “Show Rendered Image” are enabled by default. As expected they disappear when disabled but this state isn’t saved. When starting a new rendering they are alway enabled again.
when replacing blocks one can choose to replace either the one selected or all instances of that block. though when selecting all, only the visible ones are beeing replaced. those on hidden layers don’t get replaced. not sure if this is the way it is supposed to work. I’d prefer all - including all hidden instances - to be replaced. if not then then I suggest a third option.
block replace options:
only the one selected
all visible
all visible and hidden
sometimes a fourth option like “all on current layer” may be helpful.
Not a bug but a wish regarding the layer state manager:
It would be nice to have the option to save the state of sublayers beeing collapsed or expanded. When there are a lot of layers and sublayers in a document this can be quite helpful.
Hopefully we can get 8.0 out “soon”. We’re trying to limit fixes to 8.0 to critical issues or ones that we are very confident about. The 8.1 release candidate will be available the same day 8.0 becomes available.
