Rhino 8 – Layer State Not Working

Hi
I’ve noticed that in the current R8 release, the Layer State function is not working. When trying to ‘Save’ a layer state in the panel area by clicking on the icon, nothing happens!
Thanks,

Hi Sach,

Not seeing this, can you try in a new file?

I’m on the service release candidate, so a little newer than yours, you can get the latest here…

Hi Japhy,
I’ve installed the S.C., tried a few different files and the layer states still does not function!

Odd, for troubleshooting lets try via command line.

-LayerStateManager

Then hit save

Nope, still doesn’t work…

Just tried it in R7 and that works…

Let’s try a repair install, go to Windows Add or Remove Programs, select Rhino 8>Modify>Repair.

Hi @sach,

The core of the Layer State Manager is in the RhinoBonusTools plug-in. Make sure this plug-in is loading and is not disabled. Use the PlugInManager command to confirm.

That worked –thanks both for your help.
