It happens with the magic mouse as well, Almost like rubber band scrolling in iOS

Unfortunately, the problem is not solved yet. Panning and zooming is responsive in four views mode, but when I maximise any viewport becomes unresponsive again.

with the latest WIP (20141124), the 2finger pinch zoom problem i was having seems to be fixed… i tried a few models i knew i had problems with and navigation is now fluid and responsive.
