Single-stroke font Text Object BUG in rhino 7.16

Hi, I recently updated my rhino 7 to this version:

Now, I get a weird bug with the Text Object function when I use single-stroke fonts (normal fonts still works fine).

Any ideas?
Regards!

I’m using Rhino 7 SR17 2022-3-10 (Rhino 7, 7.17.22069.03001) and I do not see this problem.

I’d let @mecsoft know about this, as I believe this is a font included with Rhino Cam.

I don’t have Rhinocam but I do have this font, I think it used to be included with Rhino, then was omitted but available from a link provided by McNeel’s resident philosopher…

Anyway, the bug is reproducible and is a problem in Rhino (7.18.22081.11001, 2022-03-22). It happens when you select the single line font after previously using another font with the Surfaces option selected. The Output option is locked after the single line font is selected and is stuck on Surfaces which ain’t gonna work here. Rhino needs to set the option to Curves before locking the buttons.

A workaround is to use a normal font and set the output option to Curves before selecting the single line font.
A second workaround is to use the single line font and then use it a second time: on the second opening it appears that the Output is reset to Curves.

You are right, that was the problem. Thank you for the workarounds! It’s now working.
Have a nice day!

I expected something like this but couldn’t reproduce it.

Hi -

Yes, this one was on the list as RH-67698 and was recently fixed in Rhino 8.

This fix is getting cherry-picked back into 7.x.
