"Shrunken" texture coordinates on trimmed objects

Who asked for the “feature” of screwing up texture coordinates on trimmed surfaces? Complely wrecks trying to use pictureframes, why can I not trim off an image frame and still see the image properly? It’s literally impossible to compensate for without knowing the specific dimensions of the image. I did some training last week and wondered why the FlowAlongSrf tutorial worked funny–it was due to this !?! What is the point?

Okay that’s really weird, it’ s not happening now but definitely was earlier today…huh, it’s happening when Iray is on. Oookay.
