Shelling complicated surfaces / Thickness to meshes

Hi guys,

I am trying to add thickness to a rather complicated surface. I tried shelling it on Rhino, however it doesn’t work, I also tried using mesh thicken in Grasshopper, better result there but still not working as well as I would like it too.

Nobody can do anything with just the image, you’ll have to upload the shape. However if the regular rhino commands for solid offset do not work, you may well be out of luck, although it would be good to have a case that fails so we can improve the shelling algorithm.
