Shell Result not solid/Offsetsrf not solid - Help, please! :(

Good Morning Guys,

unfortunately I ran into a quite uncomfortable situation here with my base surface, for my further project work I need a shell with an inner 10mm thickness, and I’ve been at it the last 2 days running into the same problems again and again. Whatever I do, cap the object and using shell command to get my desired thickness, or using the offsetsrf command to get it, there’s always a build up of unnecessary naked edges which I couldn’t remove even after hours of work.

Has anyone a work around of this commands, and can share some tricks?

The Naked Edges I meant:

I would be eternally grateful for any help in this matter, as I really can’t understand what I’m doing wrong…

hi @Alex39 If I _Explode and _RebuildEdges the surfaces on the original, I seen quite a few issues:

You can make your life a lot easier by using simpler surfaces for the base surface(s). See also this thread for a similar case:
