Shaded/wireframe in v8 not 'sticking'

I use the Shade Viewport button, usually to reset all the viewports to Shaded, which works instantly, but the moment I click back in any of the viewports, they all revert to wireframe. Is this a ‘feature’, or a ‘bug’? I’d rather it stuck, until I choose to switch it back! TIA

It is a “feature” if you are still using the “Shade” command from Rhino 1.0 - when Rhino did not have any full-time shaded display modes.

Rather than that you can use the different commands in the Display toolbar or a right click on the viewport title…

Yes, OK…

I think I got what I wanted, raided the buttons and made my own!

Left click, every viewport gets shaded, and it sticks, right click, every viewport gets wireframed, and sticks.

I love Rhino!!
