Shaded Mode > Backface Settings bug?

Hello,

I am trying to set Backface Settings: Single color for all backfaces and when I do that it works fine, although then when I select an object in Shaded Mode the yellow highlight is no longer visible.

I was pulling my hair for awhile until I figured that reverting that change restored the yellow selection color.

Are these two tied for some reason or is this a bug?

Is your video drive up to date? seems related to that.
