Select objects in a region

Hi there,

Is there any script / macro / command sequence select objects automatically in a region and/or closed curve?

Hello- SelBoundary should do that. See also SelVolumeBox, SelVolumeSphere, SelVolumePipe, SelVolumeObject

once selected, use group, then make a named selection using NamedSelections

NamedSelections is such a handy tool, once I’d discovered this I’ve never stopped using it :+1:t3:

namedpositions is namedselections best friend. the two together are very cool.

Thank you… However i cannot use groupname in selboundary command… Here is the sample file attached…

The aim is;

After selecting blue polyline, it should automatically create a group including the objects inside the selected polyline…
