Select Every Other SubD Edge Loop?

I’m trying to select every other edge loop of a SubD object. Any suggestions on how to go about this? If there is no straight forward existing way, perhaps some suggestions on how to intelligently script it?

I don’t know of a way to script this myself but hopefully we can add more selection tools soon.

@BrianJ Now that this request is in at least triplicate, any luck with getting more SubD selection tools in this dev cycle for Rhino 9?
