For a new project we are checking the possibilities of Sectiontools Integrated (Rhino8) again. We have used it several times on other projects and run into a major issue - but is miraculously solved (link).
Currently we got some new challenges with Sectiontools integrated:
- the sectiondrawings are stacking on top of eachother after making a change to the clippingdrawings settings; I can reproduce this issue by selecting multiple clippingsections and I change the setting from background=no to a background=yes. Result is that they are all inserted on a single insertion point. Important to mention that I do not use the “ApplyToAll” function in this command.
- I am not totally sure who to blame (lol), but after above failure, some objects (curves/hatches) were still located at it’s original position. Therefor I deleted all clippingdrawing objects and purged the layers. All layers related to the clippingdrawings got deleted (I checked) and I created the clippingdrawings again. I did not delete the clippingsections! I immediately run into the issue that the command line was not showing which clippingdrawings I was placing. Nevertheless, once I placed these clippingdrawings somewhere, the layers of each clippingdrawing were called “Layer 01”, etc. I am aware that deleting and purging the original clippingdrawings are somewhat unconventional, however I thougth that this would give me a fresh start for placing the clippingsdrawings. My next step would be deleting the clippingsections and start all over again (which is not preverable do to the settings per clippingsection.)
I hope above workflow is clear, otherwise I am happy to clarify the steps in more detail.
Looking forward to your tips/tricks and hopefully solve these issues soon, thanks in advance.
