I have a model of my building that I wanted to create a section for. I created it fine, but when I tried to extract the drawing the laptop stopped responding and my fan went crazy. I have a strong laptop with very good specs, just recently purchased. Not sure why this happens.

Inherently, there’s nothing wrong with Rhino using the resources that the Operating System gives it access to.

It went on for over an hour I had to open my task manager and forcibly end the task. The section drawing was never completed.

It would be good to get that model so that we could look into this. You can upload it from Rhino Accounts - make sure to add the link to this thread in the comments field.
Also, please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here.
