Hi, V8 what setting fixes the quality of this ? Its a shock to the system, having been working on this in V5, open file in V8 and its like a fine black fishing line with black ants running along it ! its a blotchy mess. [section V8 a blotchy mess] Cheers Steve

I’ve already included the file in the YT. I see this with polylines having many short segments. For example, if you changedegree to degree 2 or higher, this issue will disappear.

@Gijs What is the YT ? also I am doing ChangeDegree for everything I create that is projected to mesh, but will this bite me in the bum later on , or is degree2 going to allow me to do everything I do with the default curves I draw with the Curve Interpolate Points tool I use, as well as the curve…

you can always go back to degree 1, using SimplifyCrv YT: YouTrack, our bug tracking system

so deg2 is a better curve pedigree versus mongrel !! than deg1, I didnt know what the projections were, and YT is YouTrack, which I want aware of, BR bug Report would have been undersstood ! Steve

[image] Steve1: so deg2 is a better curve no, degree 2 is not ‘better’ than degree 1, it just happens to be a stupid workaround for this particular issue, and probably has to do with how line segments are optimized. But @stevebaer knows a lot more about this.
