Does anyone know why the new scripting component in Rhino 8 Mac does not report errors in the out tab?
Hi @woojsung Could you post your script too? The errors don’t look like they are specifically because of the Script component.

To reproduce, open a new grasshopper file in Rhino 8, grab a scripting component, set the language as C#, then open the editor and add any character in the editor (to make an intentional syntax error).
Then you see the scripting component turn red, but the out tab doesn’t report the error.
You are right! There were so many other issues with the Script Component, that I hadn’t even got round to noticing that one.
Oh, that sounds scary. Then what other option do I have where the legacy one doesn’t even exist? This is very disappointing. If the Scripting component is incomplete, then there must be an alternative…
Hello,even in Rhino 8, you can call the OLD component by typing with # at the beginning.

@woojsung There are no Out tabs in the new editor. See Problems tab.The edito itself also shows squiggly lines where errors are found

Thanks, then the out tab in the component is a vestige soon to disappear.
