using scale 1d is not performing like it usually does, draw out a rectangle, use scale 1d, pick your 2 points and add a dimension, it now uses the new dimension to add on , V8 latest service release SR5
I don’t understand this, if I pick the first point (origin) then the second point (1st reference point) then I type in a number, the distance from the origin to the place on the object where the first reference point was clicked becomes the number I typed. Maybe I’m not following what you are doing.
I use scale 1D quite often and didn’t noice anything funky with this in rhino 8 so far. just tested it - works as expected for me here.
if I type in a number, usually that becomes the overall length, I have 1000 x 1000mm rectangle, I want to increase to 2000 x 1000, the rectangle is now becoming 3000 x 1000 , I use scale1d that much that I have it hot keyed on my mouse, 100s of times a day
What is the macro behind the hotkey?
If I make a 1000 x 1000 rectangle, call Scale1D, click on the start point of one side for origin, click on the end point of the same side for the first ref point, then type 2000 and enter, the side becomes 2000 long here.
hi Mitch, even if I type Scale1d same result, hot key is just copied pasted from the command line to the mouse button settings, I’ve had it for years
Very strange, works perfectly like before on my mac and pc and latest 8.5 release…
Dunno, I can’t reproduce the problem here…
