Saving Problems

Hi, so I haven’t used Rhino for like a month and today it doesn’t let me save files. It says (translated from German by me): “File not found. Check the Filename and try again.”, which makes no sense, since I’m trying to save a file, not to open one.

I have a student licence and it has been checked. I logged out and in again, got the newest Rhino version, I also contacted tech support but their proposal to check the graphic card settings wasn’t the solution. I also tried to save an empty text file, rename it to “.3dm” and overwrite with my Rhino file, it also didn’t let me do that…

It doesn’t matter if I use “save” or “save as”.

UPDATE: I can save my files on my desktop but nowhere else.

Any ideas?

Sounds like it’s a file permission problem. Are you using a shared computer that you have to log in to? Or your own machine?

Hi, indeed, I have just found the problem. Had to add the app to trustworthy apps. Thank you for your prompt reply!
