Rhino 7 does not save or export files. I've lost a lot of today's work

I’m sharing my SystemInfo below, but the issue is that I cannot save or export files. Don’t know why it is behaving as such.

What do you mean “can’t save?” What happens?

This is the error I get:

the D: is a 1Tb NVME and has around 480Gb available.

Did you try saving the file under a different name/directory?

Now, yes, after your suggestion, save_as in the new directory results in:

A bit of the background, I have been using Rhino since v3.x and this is the first time such a gnarly issue has surfaced. I use Rhino as much as I can and usually around 8-16 hours a week (these days) sometimes it could be around 60 hours/week. Oh, and its not anti-virus, since I disabled it and checked, the same result…

Well that’s not a Rhino issue, it’s a Windows file permissions issue. So…is this a corporate PC? Are you syncing the files with the cloud? Does rebooting help? It’s the result of something that is not Rhino locking the files. Backup, antivirus, something.

Thanks a lot Jim.

Yes, its a PC of my company, but its managed and administered by me. It does sync files. Anyhow, I’ll try to reboot and see if it goes away. Thx.

Damn, I found it, the file system was set to read-only mode. No problem with Rhino, all of my system. It was not done by me or anyone around, it was window’s own doing. Thanks for your comments, @JimCarruthers and @Helvetosaur

What are you syncing with? What else are you running? Something else is grabbing those files. Talk to your corporate IT.

I think it’s an app called duplicati which runs on all local machines and makes a copy of the working folders on the internal cloud. I’ll figure it out tomorrow at work. Thanks a lot.
