If I try to save as Template, it doesn’t.
Restart and it is not there.
I can move the file manually to Templates folder and it does show up in Rhino as a Template.

Hi Mitch, it seems to work if I do it from a new untitled file. I tried it by opening a 'old file and it doesn’t work here.
In this image, the one called Km-Inclear pop was a new untitled file, Save As Template “Km-Inclear pop.3dm”
I tried to save the baguette file as a template - not working.

BTW - the Template file ‘Km-Medium Dome TP’ was the file I moved manually, earlier.

OK, still seems to work… Open a blank file, no template. Make a couple of changes (like layer color). Save as a file to the desktop. Close file. Re-open file. Save as Template, give another name. Close file. File>New. Click on “show templates”… The new template is in the list…
Is there some other way I can test?

Weird, without closing Rhino.
I open new file, change layer colour, create box and save as box.3dn to desktop. Close file. Reopen file and save as template. close file again. Open new file from template, still not there. ???
It may be saving to desktop and not Templates folder. Need to test some more.
Restart Rhino and it worked this once. Dark, damp and dismal day here, may just go to pencil & paper for a while and let the computer gremlins fight it out amongst themselves.
