Roads on Contour

Hello,

I have a contoured site and struggling to make correct roads with cut and fill in rhino…

On a heavily contoured topography, I want to analyze portions of land that cross a set limit say 1:10 and accordingly make road with cut or fill and for portions of land that are within the limit the road should be made on the natural topography with minimum intervention

Attached are the pictures of the contour land and the proposed road

Greens are the portion that would require basic leveling, Blue are the ones with Grading, cut and fill required

Yes too many discussion on the same topic..Did a lot of research as well, still stuck for a easy and reliable solution specifically for surfaces

Terrain Developable Area, Roads, Cut and Fills

Hi Guys, I am facing a challenge modelling a terrain. I build existing terrain based of point cloud, but now I have to identify buildable ares. It is easy with the slope analysis, but in some areas I am allowed to modify the terrain to provide more usable area. I can’t come up with any useful idea how to get this work. I need a way to modify existing terrain by making some ares flat and be able to calculate cut and fill volume.(attached image, I would like to make red areas flat) I also need…

This idea works really well Solid operations are far quicker and cut/fill volumes are the same.
