Rhino5 Deskproto Integration

I just signed up with the free commercial version of Desk Proto to evaluate it with the intent on upgrading if it works for me. I currently run Rhino 5 Version 5 SR14 64-bit (5.14.522.8390, 5/22/2017) and have tried using the 3D command to load a project into Desk Proto. But I’m getting an error in Rhino:

An installation of Delft Spline Systems DeskProto software cannot be found.

Can anyone help me sort out what I need to do to get this integration to work?

Possibly because the version of Deskproto is too recent to run in Rhino V5? There is a very old version here:

– but it says it needs a dongle to run. Also apparently won’t run on Windows later than Win 7. Maybe try downloading the eval version of Rhino V7 and trying with that?

I think trying the eval version of Rhino V7 makes sense as a place to start. Thanks!
