Rhino WIP for Mac Crashes upon Starting

Hi all,

I have the most recent version of Rhino WIP for Mac running on my 2019 Macbook Pro 16" (Monterey 12.2). The Rhino version is “rhino_wip_8.0.22018.12306”. It crashes upon loading as attached video.

I’m still getting crashes with the WIP as soon as I try to open an existing file or create a new file.

Fired up the WIP today and I’m getting the same crashes - as soon as I open a file or create new from a template. Not sure when I tried the WIP last (it has been a while). Upgrading to Monterey isn’t an option for me - my old iMac won’t update beyond Big Sur. Another oddity, I’m not getting any crash reports. Something else to look into later - any suggestions on what/where to check? Tried rolling back to the version posted above: No help - same crashes.

That is not the case with me anymore. I am on MacOS 12.2.1 and Rhino8WIP 8.0.22060.12306. But it is still horribly slow without Metal on. Metal works well in terms of performance, but its graphic quality is way behind that of OpenGl unfortunately at the moment.
