Rhino to STL for 3D printing

Hello, I’m trying to convert a rhino mesh for a 3d printing project, but I keep coming across issues when opening it with slicer softwares like cura. All the objects are watertight meshes, but there are some voids inside the model which I want to fill with supports. However, Cura reads the imported file as a 2D shape disregarding the whole geometry. Does anyone know possible reasons this keeps happening?

Can you supply the STL and Rhino files?

I figured it out, turns out Cura doesn’t read the file properly if the mesh is too far from the origin

I think 3MF is overall a preferable export format for 3d printing. I use Cura too and haven’t run into issues so far.
