For some reason I lost the Rhino title bar across the top of a Rhino6 window. No big deal but I don’t have the window minimise, restore or close buttons on the right. I closed down and restarted and 6.14 update took place but still no Title Header as seen here.
Right… it seems writing the settings file occasionally goes south, but I do not see any pattern. Did you have multiple Rhinos open?

Of course, many multiples, a bad habit…
That should be perfectly OK - I was trying to get a clue about the settings files - it seems, if they are getting jumbled as in your example, multiple instances might contribute. Just speculating at the moment…
-Pascal
Just for the record, I had 8 or 9 nine Rhino instances open and probably 4 or 5 parallel models of the Rhino models opened in Fusion 360 while doing a 4 way Skype conference call with me doing screensharing. On top of that, I hadn’t done a re-start on my machine for a week or more so I deserved whatever happened!
What could possibly go wrong?
What don’t kill your operating system only makes you stronger…
Thanks John. I didn't mention the FEA program for sailboats rigs that was running in the background.
Oh and about 20 open windows open in Chrome. Talk about a memory hog…
Hi Owen - I don’t know - I guess my first thought is to reboot the machine and see if that sorts it out. If not, post the results from the SystemInfo command and, and run Reset with ‘Save settings for tech support’ and send me that file and I’ll check with the larger brains here. Use the top two options, see if that fixes it and if not reset to factory defaults (having saved the settings as mentioned)
-Pascal
I ended up sorting it out!
Thanks,
Owen
