Hi, Can anyone help me with this issue when working with Sub D objects? When I hit the Tab key to toggle between ‘Flat’ and ‘Smooth’, nothing visually changes to the sub d object. The only thing that changes when in ‘Flat’ mode is when I select an edge, Rhino does this…
Hi Simon -
Please run the Rhino SystemInfo

Hi Simon - this is unlikely to work well with Rhino 7 I’m afraid - at the very least I would try to find drivers that are newer than 2016, though I deo not have too high hopes that you will find them.

Hi am also having the same issue and my computer is brand new. Below is the SystemInfo if anyone is able to help! Thank you!

ATTENTION:
No graphics device is being used. Either an error occurred on startup, or certain devices have been disabled.
See below for any possible configuration changes that may help resolve this issue.
The “Main Display” is conncected to an external USB display port device, which is preventing the
proper video drivers from being loaded by Windows.
- Recommended:
- Use Windows’ Display Settings to configure the laptop screen as the “Main Display”.
- Or, unplug a monitor and plug it into a built-in video port (HDMI/DP) on the laptop.
Then use Windows’ Display Settings to configure that monitor to be the “Main Display”.
- Any hardware configuration or cabling changes you make will require that you restart Rhino.

Hi -
Please update Rhino to at least SR10, which is the current stable version.
If that doesn’t help, please describe the issue that you are having and upload a 3dm file that we can use to troubleshoot.

Thank you for the SystemInfo
data. That looks fine.
Now please post a 3dm file that shows this behavior.

Your object is a mesh.
You can turn it into a SubD with the command _ToSubD
