I forgot: render is still broken in parallel view mode.
Raytraced (M1 MAX MacBook Pro with 64GB and 32 GPU cores)
My rendered models are all 500 samples, 4K size
These are various sizes of models and render time (very quick)
353 MB model rendered in 5 min (no crash)
29 MB model rendered in 1.5 min (no crash)
178 MB model rendered in 11.6 min (no crash)
64 MB model rendered in 5 min (no crash)
40 MB model rendered (this model did render previously)
Got this error message
“””CommandBuffer Failed: cycles_metal_integrator_queued_paths_array 0h 3m on and on”””
Then hit “stop rendering” and then it crashed
Raytrace works very well but I randomly get this crash, maybe 1 out of 10
I send a crash report
166 MB model rendered in 6.5 min (no crash)
I’ve seen the clip model tutorial but I’m not sure where the CLIP model is.
That’s not what I meant, sorry. You say raytraced is crashing, but does it crash any model? Both raytraced as well as when you press the render button?
If it crashes only certain models, it would be very helpful to receive such model.
@paul.hecko is it possible to send the model that crashes?
If confidential, you can upload it here
As for the clip sample model. You can find sample models in Help > learn Rhino > Tutorials and Samples > Sample models
Hi Gijs
“Render Button” does not crash for me since the last update.
I get this error 1 out of 10 renders:
“””CommandBuffer Failed: cycles_metal_integrator_queued_paths_array 0h 3m on and on”””
Then hit “stop rendering” and then it crashes
I did send the crash report once yesterday
This can occur in any model I have randomly, but I’ll keep my eye on it if I can offer any more insight to the problem.
We did get your crash report and have added this to our bug tracker for the rendering devs to look into. Thanks
